Choose a piece, then pick what to engrave: a photo, text, your handwriting, a note or drawing, or the stars. Upload a photo and our engraving studio engraves it as a photograph in fine dots, with a few versions to choose from. You see your piece in 3D, in the plating you pick, before you add it to your bag.

A photo of someone you love or your pet, engraved like a photograph. A fingerprint, or two joined in a heart. Handwriting, drawn on screen or from a photo of a note, and your child's drawing. Names, dates and messages, or initials with a heart between them. Birth flowers with names, and symbols like a heart, a compass or a wave. A star map or a street map of a place that matters, a zodiac constellation, or a voice note or short video with a code that plays it back. Bars suit text, initials, signatures, symbols and coordinates best.

Press a fingertip on an ink pad, or rub it with a soft pencil, and roll it once onto plain white paper. Photograph it close up in good light and upload it in the studio. We keep every ridge exactly as it is. For a heart of two prints, add a second print, or we mirror the first.

Yes. Search for a place, or use your location, then move and zoom the map until it sits just right. Mark the spot with a heart, a pin, a star or a dot, and add the name. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

A clear, sharp photo with the face or front of your pet or person in view. Soft daylight, a simple background and no heavy filters. Our engraving guide has more tips.

Yes, if they are close together in the same photo. On a 20mm coin, two faces are the most we recommend, so every line stays clear. For more, choose the tag, or engrave the back too.

Yes. The studio shows your engraving on a 3D model of your piece, front and back, in silver-tone steel, 18k gold plating or 18k rose gold plating. What you see is what we engrave.

Yes. Write or draw straight on the screen, or upload a photo of a handwritten note, a card or a drawing. We clean it into crisp lines and keep every curve of their hand. Dark ink on plain white paper works best.

About 50 characters on the coin and heart, up to 100 on the tag, and about 25 on the bars. The studio shows you live if your text fits. Fewer words engrave more clearly.

Yes, on every piece. Turn on the back in the studio and add a photo, a date or a few words. The studio shows the extra price as soon as you add it. On the 3D bar, this adds a second side.

We use a fiber laser, which marks fine, permanent lines into the metal. They sit slightly darker than the surface and won't rub off or fade with wear.

Our team checks every design before it is engraved. If something won't come out well, we'll email you before we make anything, and help you choose another photo.

304L stainless steel, chosen because it is strong and resists rust. You can pick silver-tone steel, 18k gold plated or 18k rose gold plated.

No. Our gold and rose gold pieces are 18k gold plated over stainless steel. You get the warm colour of gold at a fair price, on a base that lasts.

Stainless steel does not rust, and the plating is made for daily wear. Chlorine, salt water, perfume and lotion can dull plating over time. Take it off to swim, shower or go to the gym, and it will stay bright for longer.

Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and store it on its own in its box. Our care guide has the full details.

Coin 20mm. Heart 20×25mm. Tag 22×39mm. Vertical bar 10×40mm. Horizontal bar 39×6mm. 3D bar 5×40mm.

Necklaces come on a 45cm chain with a 5cm extender, so you can wear them between 45 and 50cm. The coin bracelet is 18cm with a 5cm extender. The bangle is one size, 6.5×5cm. Keychains have a ring and chain of about 4–5cm.

Each piece is made to order in 2–5 business days. Delivery then takes 2–5 days in the EU and the US, and longer further away. See our shipping page for every region.

Order two or more pieces and tracked shipping is free. For a single piece, tracked shipping is added at checkout, in your own currency.

Yes. Buy two or more pieces and you get 10% off and free shipping. It is applied automatically in your bag.

Not within the EU or the US. Orders to the UK, Switzerland, Norway and some other countries may be charged import tax or duties by local customs on delivery.

Yes. Every piece arrives in a black jewellery box, ready to give, so you can send it straight to the person you love.

Because each piece is made just for you, we can't take back personalised items unless they arrive faulty or damaged. See our refund policy.

Email us at support@lovedpieces.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. If there is a problem with the engraving or the piece, we will remake it or refund you.

Write to us as soon as you can. We can usually make changes until your piece goes into production. Once it has been engraved, we can't change it.
